MEMETASTIC!!!1! (Part One)

According to smart people and wikipdia, a Meme is an idea or concept which spreads from person to person within a culture. An internet meme does this via the internet until all our base are belong to it, and not even chuck norris's right and left legs (Law and Order ) respectively, can stop it. And we all give up and go to look at some LOLcats, but end up Rickrolled instead.
Memes are created every day, some of them never really get outside of a single forum or community, but some of them go international. Also insane. A very few even make it into the news (the news has actually been rickrolled in the US) You are probably familiar with a large range of memes, sometimes without even knowing it. There are also a lot you do not know about. Mostly because they are not in english. Well, most of them. Check out this article on Cracked about foreign memes.

So what is all this about and what does it have to do with media? Well, it is now time to look at how the internet changed communication and the way we access the media. And we will be doing this in fancy schmancy new media style ways - wikis, screen casts, podcasts, blogs and so on.
Here is what you need to do today:
- go and check out the Toppy's Eleven wiki. This is a wiki of memes and internet phenomena that has been built by students over the years. You can use it as a reference source, but you also need to pick a few of the blank entries to fill in, and you can start your own for new memes (no one has done Gangnam Style yet!)

- You need to research and explain AT LEAST two memes already on the wiki, or expand an existing entry. Make sure you put your name in the wiki article so everyone knows who has done what.
